improve your fitness. Feel good & look great!

Phase One Health & Fitness Gym has been operating for over 21 years now and is something of a Bath institution, an antidote to overcrowded, impersonal chain gyms. Over the years, hundreds of locals and visitors alike have benefitted from the numerous facilities within the club.

We are based centrally on the Upper Bristol Road, within a 15 minute walk of the City Centre, Oldfield Park and Lower Weston, with plenty of parking in Royal Victoria Park over the road.

The building consists of 3 floors and is deceptively spacious. The top floor contains our cardio and toning gym, with numerous treadmills, cross trainers, bikes, rowers and light toning machines. It is a lovely light, airy room with views over the river. Next to it is our classes studio with full length mirrors, barre and punch bags. We provide a full class timetable (see elsewhere on site) and members are encouraged to use the space when it’s available for their own training.

The basement houses an old school lifter’s gym, with numerous dumbbells, racks, Olympic bars with fixed weight machines covering every muscle group.

The ground floor provides reception, treatment rooms for Physio Impulse and Beauty with Clare, a fantastic sauna (free to members) and spacious changing rooms including showers and lockers.

Our staff are extremely well qualified (at least to level 3 and with 3 MSCs between them) and are keen to help. We provide PT sessions, fitness programs or just informal advice.

As an independent club we are able to keep our numbers to a manageable level, with queues to machines very rare and a friendly, workman like atmosphere in the gyms. We can also organise bespoke memberships if you are in Bath for a short time and offer single sessions for visitors. Look out for our membership special offers, which often provide lowest priced deals in town!

We would love to see you and show you round or simply answer any questions on line.

Make a commitment to your body and mind and choose from our membership options.

Yoga does more than burn calories and tone muscles. It’s a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation or relaxation.
